About Dr. Bronstein

Biographical Information

Dr. Lawrence Bronstein earned his B.A. degree in zoology with a concentration in anatomy and physiology at S.U.N.Y. Oswego. He went on to earn a B.S. degree in human biology and a doctorate in chiropractic at the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois.

Upon graduation, he and his wife, Dr. Nancy Bronstein (also a graduate of NUHS), started a holistic health care facility in Patchogue, Long Island, named Suffolk Family Chiropractic Center. Services provided at SFCC included: traditional chiropractic care, classical homeopathy, dietary and nutritional consultation, applied kinesiology, and stress management given by a licensed psychologist. There was a strong emphasis on family health care at SFCC; and, ongoing workshops and lectures in all aspects of natural health were offered.

In 1991, in order to have a more healthy and rural environment for their family, the Bronsteins moved to the beautiful Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts in Great Barrington. Together, they created Mahaiwe Chiropractic and Holistic Services to continue their commitment to complementary and integrative approaches to healthy living.

Dr. Bronstein deepens and strengthens his approach to health care by participating in postgraduate study and on going education. He is certified in applied kinesiology, as a nutrition specialist, and as a BioSETâ„¢ practitioner. Dr. Bronstein is a diplomate of The American Board of Clinical Nutrition.

Community service is a passion for Dr. Bronstein. He has been a member of Rotary International for 23 years. He was a past president and continues to be active on committees. Currently, Dr. Bronstein is the president of the NOAH Center (New Opportunities For Achieving Health) in Great Barrington. The mission of The NOAH Center is to educate and encourage maximum health through self-knowledge and activity.
